Why you shouldn't leave your natural cosmetics in the car
In short:
Because a car in summer is not a bathroom. It's more like an oven. 🙂
Many are surprised when a deodorant cream or balm suddenly becomes soft or even melts after a few hours in the mailbox or car.
But in fact, this precisely shows that a product is naturally formulated.
Because:
Natural cosmetics often consist of oils, butters, waxes, and natural emulsions. And these naturally react to temperature. Just like coconut oil at home suddenly becomes liquid in summer.
A car, by the way, easily reaches 50–70 degrees on warm summer days. Even more directly in the sun. This is not only extreme for natural cosmetics – but also for people, animals, electronics, or food.
Our products are heated up to 80 degrees under controlled conditions during production. Therefore, the heat itself usually does not harm them. But:
Controlled production is different from hours of heat in the car or mailbox.
What can happen:
- The consistency becomes softer
- A deodorant cream becomes more liquid
- The texture changes slightly
What does NOT happen:
- The product "spoils"
- The effectiveness is lost
- The product becomes unsafe
If a product has become soft:
Simply stir briefly, refrigerate, and wait a little before opening. Afterwards, it can be used without problems.
And yes:
We naturally know that this can sometimes be inconvenient. That's why on particularly hot days, we sometimes even postpone shipping so that your order doesn't sit unnecessarily for hours in delivery vehicles or mailboxes.
Because we believe:
Those who want natural products should also be allowed to understand that natural formulations simply behave naturally. 🙂
